If you do business on PEI, you’ll want to know about this…

  • The Ultimate Girls’ Night Out! Event Changes Hands

The Greater Charlottetown Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that the 2013 Ultimate Girls’ Night Out! event will be hosted and managed by the Prince Edward Island Business Women’s   Association (PEIBWA). The Chamber issued a Request for Expression of Interest to its not-for-profit members following an organizational review that suggested a new focus for the Chamber. The PEI Business Women’s Association was the successful respondent to the ROI and will operate the event going forward.

The Ultimate Girls Night Out!, previously known as the Ladies’ Unforgettable Evening, was a signature event for the Chamber for close to 20 years. “We would like to acknowledge the generosity of our many dedicated volunteers, prize donors, ticket purchasers and sponsors who made this event such a success in the past,” commented the Chamber’s Executive Director, Kathy Hambly. “We are delighted that The Ultimate Girls’ Night Out! will continue to provide an excellent experience for attendees and to generate revenue for a worthy organization in our community.”

On behalf of PEIBWA, Hannah Bell, Executive Director adds “As a gala event celebrating women, we saw this as a great opportunity to promote connections between women in business and with the broader business community. This evening has a consistent reputation as a quality event that attendees look forward to with great anticipation. We would also like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank the Chamber for their support in the transition of the event.”

“Save October 4, 2013 in your calendar for a great evening”, advises Stefanie Corbett, the event’s co-Chair. “This is going to be the event of the year.” More details will be released in the coming days.
