Holding a Certificate in Conflict Resolution from the University of Prince Edward Island, Gillian embraces innovative approaches to resolving conflicts and is dedicated to crafting sustainable resolutions.
As a certified Workplace Investigator, Gillian conducts workplace investigations and workplace assessments across the country. Gillian enjoys hearing people’s stories, understanding their experiences, and guiding them on a path forward. She appreciates people’s diverse experiences and applies her trauma-informed training to her work.
As a practicing lawyer called in both PEI and Nova Scotia, Gillian’s main areas of practice are labour, employment, and human rights law. Gillian commenced her career in Halifax, practicing family law and helping her clients navigate the difficult terrain of separation and divorce. Since moving back to the Island, Gillian has shifted her family law focus to helping families in her capacity as an appointed Children’s Lawyer. Gillian is passionate about ensuring everyone’s voice is heard.
Gillian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Acadia University and obtained her Juris Doctor from the Schulich School of Law (Dalhousie) in 2016.
Beyond her professional pursuits, Gillian is an avid equestrian and golden retriever enthusiast. When not the office, you can find Gillian running around after her children.
